August 15th Good morning everyone! Thanks for Blogging In!I’ve been invited to join the Children’s Author Blog Tour by fellow author Kay Lalone. She answered a set of questions on her blog. She has tagged me to participate, and in turn I’ll tag fellow children’s authors who will be posting their answers at their blogs in the coming days.
What are you working on right now?
I’m almost finished with the third book of my “In There” series. Have you read book 1? It’s been out since the end of June. Book 2 will be out mid-September. I’m working hard on and hoping book 3 will be out by the end of the year.
How does it differ from other works in its genre?
It differs because it’s historical fiction. There is other historical fiction out there, but not much and I think there should be more. My genre is considered fiction because of the characters in it, but the historical part is non-fiction. I take time to research the slightest detail about the events in my book so that the reader also catches the excitement of the true history; the excitement of learning something new.
What is the hardest part about writing?
When my imaginary friends don’t want to play– meaning writers block. Luckily I don’t get writers block often, but when I do, I try to skip to a different part of the story and write that scene out, or I pick up a completely different manuscript and work on that for a day or two. That usually fixes the problem.
